Pickup & booking

How fast can you pick up?

In most major cities, the same day if you book before 11 a.m. local time. Otherwise, the next business day. Account customers can set fixed pickup windows — every Tuesday at 10 and every Friday at 4, for example — to match how your operation runs.

Is there a minimum order?

No. We collect single parcels. Volume discounts start once you pass 50 shipments a month and apply automatically on your next invoice.

Can I schedule recurring pickups?

Yes. Set them up in your dashboard or ask your account manager. Pickups can run daily, weekly or on a custom schedule, and we keep to it even on days you have nothing to ship.

What if I miss the pickup window?

Your courier waits up to ten minutes. After that, we rebook for the same day if a route is still open, or move you to the next business day. One missed window a month costs nothing.

What we ship

What can I ship?

Standard parcels up to 50 kg and freight up to one tonne per pallet. Hazardous materials by arrangement, with the right documents. Lithium batteries are accepted when declared.

What’s prohibited?

Firearms, ammunition, live animals without prior arrangement, perishables without a prior cold-chain arrangement, cash or bearer instruments, narcotics, and anything the destination’s customs prohibits. If we find a prohibited item in transit, we may dispose of it lawfully and bill you for the cost.

How should I package my cargo?

Pack for normal courier handling and we’ll take it. For fragile items, double-box with at least two inches of padding on every side. Your courier can flag weak packaging at pickup. If you choose to ship anyway, the standard insurance no longer covers damage.

Tracking & delivery

How does tracking work?

Every shipment gets a public tracking page — for example /track/TGT-26-7K9Q-P4R2 — that updates the moment a checkpoint scans. Your recipient doesn’t need an account or password. Share the link and they see the live status.

How accurate is the ETA?

We build each ETA from the lane’s historical performance, live congestion data and where your cargo is right now, and we refresh it at every checkpoint scan. The median error across all lanes is ±38 minutes.

What if delivery is delayed?

The new ETA appears on your tracking page within minutes of the delay being detected. If the shipment was time-sensitive and the delay is on us, we credit the full shipping cost automatically — no email, no support ticket.

Insurance & claims

Is my cargo insured?

Yes. Every shipment is covered up to its declared value, included in the base rate. The standard cap is US$5,000 or the local equivalent. For high-value items, add extra cover when you book.

How do I file a claim?

Email info@transglobaltransitexpress.com within 7 days of the delivery window. Include your tracking code, what happened, and photos if anything is damaged. Most claims resolve in under 48 hours.

What isn’t covered?

Packaging that was visibly inadequate at pickup, damage that existed before the pickup scan and wasn’t flagged, force majeure such as war or natural disaster, and indirect losses such as missed sales or lost contracts. The insurance page has the full breakdown.

Customs & international

Do you handle customs?

Yes. On international shipments we handle all the customs paperwork, calculate the duty and clear the goods through our broker network. Customs status appears as a checkpoint on your tracking page.

Who pays the duty?

By default, the recipient (DDU — delivered duties unpaid). If you’d rather pay it yourself (DDP — delivered duties paid), tell us when you book. We’ll quote the duty alongside the shipping rate and pay it on your behalf.

What if customs holds my shipment?

Our broker network gets in touch the same day. If the hold comes from incomplete paperwork on our side, we fix it at no extra cost. If it needs recipient details we don’t have, we’ll ask you for them.

Billing & accounts

How do you bill?

Per shipment, billed monthly in arrears. Invoices go out on the first business day of each month and are due within 30 days. We accept wire transfer, card and SEPA direct debit.

Are there volume discounts?

Yes. They start past 50 shipments a month and grow from there. Moving more than 500 a month? Talk to our operations team and we’ll quote a custom rate.

Can I get a custom contract?

Yes, for volumes above 2,000 shipments a month or for bespoke insurance or customs requirements. Email info@transglobaltransitexpress.com to start the conversation.
